Character rules and boundaries

Hello everyone, for once I actually have a journal to post. Given the character I will be posting following this, I figured it was time to establish the boundaries for my characters and what I deem acceptable for them.

Some things to note:

These changes are only retroactive to characters on the SFW only list. Unless I SPECIFICALLY ask you to take down art, you are fine.
If a character in my gallery is not listed here, it is most likely a retired character. Please do not draw them until I decide to use them again (my discretion). Note that this mainly applies to older characters. Some characters may not be ready to be placed on the list yet. This applies to newer characters. And I may have missed a character or two (let me know if that is the case)
I will not change my stance on the SFW characters, so don't even bother asking. I also reserve the right to move characters into the SFW category at my discretion.
Unless I specifically asked you take down art made prior to the list, assume you're fine
There is a lot of characters on display here, but just remember the following: This list covers multiple series, many characters are important to other characters, and there is overlap with younger and alternate versions of certain characters

Chaotic Talks 0.46: Where have I been?

HELLO EVERYONE! It's a bit late for this, but better late than never. Let's finally address the elephant in the room: Where have I been for the past 2 years? Well simply: Nowhere but where I usually am. Summer 2019 to Fall 2019 was a shit storm of stress, anxiety, minor depression, and existential dread. I am doing a lot better now, as you can obviously see given that I have gone back to posting like crazy. Allow me to take you on a journey of what I have been up to these past 2 years. There will be sights, sounds, RAMPANT PARANOIA, and at least one other thing...

Strap in, this is going to be a long one... Also please read to the end.

So let's break this down into sections:

1) What happened to me?

Ah yes, what happened? Well firstly the snowball got rolling down the hill in early summer 2019. I need to be careful with my words as I don't want to reignite this issue...but you guys need to know for context as to why I was gone for so long. So how do I put this delicately? Let's say I joined a Discord server that summer. Everything was great until I got kicked. why did I get kicked? Again, to put it delicately, me and heads of the server got into a disagreement and we could not come to an amicable resolution. This was NOT an insult throwing contest, it was a disagreement in the purest sense of the word (or at the very least, that's what I remember). I was caught off guard, not going to lie. Also my blood had a tendency to run cold whenever the server owner popped up in my social media feeds, so that's a little concerning... Anyways, after that I went my own way. I did vaguely reference the whole situation in a few status posts, but I took them down. Either way, they were way too vague for anyone to figure out what I was referring to and I also have a borderline non-existent following...so yeah.

Two years to mull a situation like this over is a long time. I have my thoughts on the matter. There is things I understand, things I agree with, things I don't agree with, and my own laundry list of things not to do when interacting with people. What annoys me is the lack of closure as there are things I don't understand to this day. I have some thoughts, but they are just speculation and educated guesses. I am not going to get that closure anytime soon...but then again it has been 2 years, so maybe they're not upset with me anymore? Either way, I don't have any intentions of going back to that server. One, they don't want me ever coming back and two, I basically did the thing I set out to do and then some. I'll elaborate more in the Occult stuff section. While we are here though, I need to vent about something: Someone from that server blocked me here on DA... One problem: I BARELY INTERACTED WITH THAT PERSON! LOOK, IF YOU ARE GOING TO BLOCK ME, AT LEAST HAVE THE COURTESY TO MAKE IT BECAUSE I INTERACTED WITH YOU FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE OF SENTENCES... My apologies, it's just that annoys me to no end.

Alright, let's stop playing Russian Roulette for two seconds and move on to the other stuff that caused my hiatus. So in August of that year, I went to get my eyes checked for new glasses. This actually would've been a status post, had I not gone on hiatus. My old HIGH SCHOOL pair of glasses were scratched to hell and back and needed replacing. I went, got my eyes checked, and waited for my new glasses. And then several days later after getting them, I discovered I had some freaking floaters! This is a condition that pops up when you get older (especially if you are near-sighted like me). From what I can tell, this is pieces of your retina breaking off that eventually settle at the bottom of your eye. This is harmless as long as it not a bunch of pieces that linger in your vision and actually interfere with it. This condition is not to be confused with retina flashes which are way worse and could be sign of something wrong with your eyes. Fortunately for me, my eyes are fine. I have not had a true problem since then. Guess how well my eyes are doing...go ahead, guess. The doctor I had check my eyes said my prescription barely changed... AFTER 8 YEARS OF USING THE SAME PAIR OF GLASSES. I think I'm fine for now, lol. Yeah, this did not help given it came in the wake of the above mentioned situation...

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! My PS4 started acting up around then and I said screw it! I am taking a break from this thing. This sounds petty, but compound this on top of the previous two things and then factor in my consistent anxiety, minor depression, and existential dread. I did play Indivisible when it came out... I WAS ONE OF THE $100 BACKERS. And yes, my name is in the credits (assuming it wasn't removed for whatever reason). I was a little obligated to play the game... I really should sit down and play it more, now that my PS4 is back up and running.

And of course one you get stuck in a rut, it's hard to get out. So for the next two years I did not do too much aside from sit around and watch YouTube... ON MY FREAKING WII U. Yeah, I also stopped using my TV due to an incident where I had to open it up and get a tiny bug out of it... AFTER THE DISCORD INCIDENT. I put the stop to the Wii U situation by getting a ROKU in October 2020. A good call considering the support for the Wii U has been on the decline. Plus I do not want to rely on my consoles for watching TV. Getting a ROKU was a good call on my part, not going to lie.

Oh, and in February 2021, I had to deal with an ice dam leaking into my room... It was not fun and really f***ed with me. I have spent the past couple of months screaming at the weather because IT WOULD NOT STOP RAINING ALL FREAKING SUMMER. YES, I know screaming at the clouds is useless. Can I just catch a break for once? Also, throughout the 2 years I was gone, I've been paranoid about my DA account getting yeeted... despite not doing anything that would upset DA.

Christ, it's been 2 years already...

ADDENDUM (7/28/2022): The Snack Pack Incident:

So... 4/23/2020 was not the start of a good week for me. Basically my father brought home some snack pack pudding... yeah, he's not the brightest. It was what I would describe as a gimmick flavor, banana cream pie. That shit was not banana. That was the garbage they put in laffy taffy. I should know: I've had both banana's and banana laffy taffy. Imagine my horror when I wake and my lip is swelling... It all descended into chaos from there. My body was swelling all over and then hives popped up. Fortunately the hives weren't itchy, just annoying. The worst part was my hands and fingers. My hands felt awkward and it felt like my skin would tear if I bent my fingers too far. My feet swelling made it annoying to walk. Even my eyelids swelled up, but my vision was not hindered. Of course I wasn't managing my histamine levels, so Benadryl was barely effective. This all came to a head when I had Pizza and Orange juice and my throat started to swell that night. FUN.

What did I learn from this? Watch what you eat, have antihistamine on hand at all times, manage your histamine levels if you are having a reaction to something, learn what foods set off your histamine levels, and stay far away from junk food. It took a week for this stuff to go away. First the swelling stopped and then the hives went away. I swore off peanut butter and nuts for a while. I thought the issue was nuts for a little bit... and then I had some tortilla chips that were prepared in a facility that handled nuts. Now I can confirm I don't have a nut allergy as I enjoy peanut butter and pistachios on the regular. And hey! I discovered my love of sandwich meat! Good lord, Imagine if I was online during this whole escapade... and in the wake of the server incident?

2) Art

Of course I wasn't going to sit around and do nothing in my absence. One of the things I did was draw stuff. You'll notice that there is a sharp uptick in quality from my 2019 drawings to now. That's because I had a lot of time to sit down and focus on my art. Naturally I am never satisfied with my art, so that lead to some improvement. Different perspectives are still tripping me up, but I like to think I am making progress.

3) Occult stuff

Alright, let's get on to that Occult stuff I mentioned. So one of the main reasons why I was on that server was because I felt it would be a good jumping off point for my Occult research (and that's all I feel I can get away with saying). I said I was going to look into some books and I did just that. Ever since December 2019 I have been buying grimoires and occult books on and off. What is occultism? It is the study of Heaven, Hell, Angels, Demons, Magic, Necromancy, and everything in between. Have I actually done any magic? No, lol! You think I am nuts? Do you think I am that crazy? I may be crazy, but I am not that crazy. I've just been studying the books. Okay, I have been doing some candle based magic for good fortune (which I have stopped in recent times), but that's about it.

There is a lot to learn from the stuff I have studied. Also it is a massive treat when shows like Blue Exorcist and Helluva Boss reference occult stuff. It makes me all warm and giddy on the inside. Occultism is a rabbit hole and that rabbit hole is the grayest rabbit hole you'd ever see. You know that one episode of The Fairly Odd-Parents where Timmy wished everyone where gray blobs and the whole world was gray? That episode looks like 4K 1080p HD RBGY Color compared to how gray Occultism is. DO. NOT. @. ME. Just when you think you've figured things out, another book pops up! And plus no one can come to a consensus on certain concepts and entities. Sammael is the biggest example of this. Is he good? Is he bad? Is one of Heaven's boys? Is he one of Hell's boys? Is he Adonai's left hand man? Don't ask me, I couldn't tell you to save a life. And magic...my god... One book says don't small animal sacrifices, one says be humble and love Adonai, one says demons are self-centered (not evil), another book says try this, another book is clearly the work of an individual and was his personal book that is missing pages out the ass... DO YOU NOT SEE THE MADNESS I'VE HAD TO SORT THROUGH IN MY STUDIES!?! Interestingly Necromancy seems to be more of the idea of communion with "dead spirits" rather than the pop culture interpretation of raising an army of skeletons. It also seems to be "true magic," but that is a bit subjective I'll admit. Another interesting thing I stumbled upon was an idea put forward by Arthur Edward Waite. That idea is that all magic is "black magic" to a degree. All magic is motivated by emotion, hence a degree of selfishness no matter what you do. That "selfishness" taints the magic and turns it "black." I'm not sure how much I agree with that, but it is an interesting way to look at magic.

Holy shit, typing that took longer than I thought it would. Minor note: I have not read all of these. I've read I'd say 60% of them with four of them having been acquired this Christmas. At the moment, I am re-reading the sixth and seventh books of Moses. I also want to re-read the sworn book... And then there is the three books of occult philosophy. That hard cover book is a 700 page behemoth and I am dreading it. If you have anything to comment or say about these books, go on right ahead. Buying occult books is the same as taking shots in the dark: you won't know what you got until you investigate.

4) Video Games

So at first I wasn't playing any games because I was paranoid about my stuff breaking down. I did bust out my DSi to play Digimon World Dawn and my older Pokemon games. Eventually I got over my issues and went back to playing my 3DS, primarily Pokemon Omega Ruby and Ultra Moon. At some point I set up a small, VCR-TV at my bed side so I could play my older consoles. These include my PS2, the PSone, my brother's Gamecube, and my NES. For a while I was just playing those until I got my TV up and running again when I got my ROKU. At that point I decided to fire up my PS3 again and played Dark Souls and Skyrim. And right before I logged back on, I got my PS4 up and running... with ease, with the greatest of ease... It is spooky how easily my PS4 booted back up and updated... And yes, I did indeed miss 2 years of Warframe. I am not happy that I missed out on Wukong Prime, Atlas Prime, and (almost) Ivara Prime. Fortunately I got Ivara Prime last month and Wukong Prime last night as of me typing this (YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. I am pretty sure Sun Wukong himself blessed me on that last one)

5) Yu-Gi-Oh!

It's time...to DU-DU-DU-DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD... Hah, D's go Brrr... Anyways, I have been collecting and building decks in my absence. Surprisingly [EVENTS RELEVANT TO 2020] did not hamper me. So what decks do I have in my two deck binders?

You would not believe the shit I've had to go through just to get these cards and decks. I primarily order from TCG player which means wildly inconsistent results with orders. I've had to deal with missing orders, late arrivals, envelopes not having postage, having the wrong card sent to me over and over again, getting a duplicate order because someone sent me the wrong rarity for a Goodra Pokemon card, missing cards, accidentally ordering damaged cards, cards nearly getting ruined by the weather, the mail person refusing to deliver because of snow (during the ice dam debacle), and my drug addict neighbor shouting at me for no reason. Don't ask about that last one, it's complicated... Do I ever go anywhere to validate my purchases? You look at the past year and a half and answer that question for me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M ALWAYS WASTING MONEY ON SOMETHING, BOYS!

Also I have been getting into YugiTube. Farfa is freaking hilarious, been enjoying Cimo's history of Yu-Gi-Oh! series, been watching Dzeefff's videos, and I've remained watching Rank10YGO, as always.

6) Going forward

So what's up now? What are my plans going forward? Well I am going to keep doing art and posting no matter what. Don't expect too much for a tiny bit longer. I am working on getting my computer situation back in order. As for that server incident that sparked this whole debacle? I don't freaking know. If I had answer for that, we wouldn't be here discussing it. I am not going to put too much thought into it unless the situation calls for it. I've been trying to move on with my life, but it has been eating at me for the past two years. Oh well, I guess.

As for story projects, look forward to some fantasy universe stuff (It's not D&D because copyright), some Undertale/Deltarune stuff, and some original stuff. Don't expect Dionysus & Hades anytime soon...that is going to need a lot of research... Also don't expect any of those unreleased Chaotic Talks mentioned in the master post anytime soon. I have not played Death Stranding, I'd just be ripping into GameWorkshop, does anyone actually give a shit about those two communities? and I haven't done anything Bakugan related in a long ass time.

Yes Kyu, it is finallly happening. I finally got around to doing it. It took way longer than I wanted it to...

Kyu? I thought I was Kyubey. Who in the blazes is this Kyu character?

You silly goose, you're not Kyubey. You are Kyu, a humanoid alien invader from another universe who got lost in my universe. You bare similarities and a slight resemblance to Kyubey though.

Oh...well that was weird. Hand me a sparkling water, my brain hurts...

Don't worry my tyke-sized misplaced invader, everything will straighten itself out.

Welcome to Chaotic Talks! This is a series where I talk about whatever is on my mind. The subject can be literally anything. For those are wondering why I am refering to this as an episode, it is because this will eventually be a series on my YouTube channel (assuming everything doesn't got to hell in a handbasket). Any episode that goes by episode 0.[insert random number here] is a part of season 0, a test season of sorts.

Heh, Reading should say The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, but I finished that book just the other night. It's not that long of a read. Also I highly recomend reading it for yourself. It's not that hard to aquire. It is a little strange in some parts, but it is easy to understand. Just don't overthink it. Anyways, we are finally doing Character design 2. This episode is a sequel to Chaotic Talks 0.32 Character Design

View-wsie this episode did well. Didn't recieve any comments or favorites good freaking lord. Am I that uninsteresting to people?! (sigh) Regardless I want to do another episode and cover some extra stuff. I intially had a set of points all lined up and ready to go, but I lost that paper. So to remedy this, I went and wrote up another set of points. And to add a little extra substance to this episode, I will TL;DR my points from the first episode and tell you whether or not I still agree with them or whether or not I want to add something in or clarify something. Spoilers, I am actually pretty sastisfied with the points I made in the first episode on Character design. My only issue was that it was too short. It could have been longer. And with that in mind, this episode may actually be a long one. We shall see soon enough.

And yes, Defective Kyubey is no more...not really. I am still going to continue the Defective Kyubey storylines, but not in Chaotic Talks. Is this is a spoiler? Yes. Why am I doing this? While Defective Kyubey is a parody, I still want something original. Plus everybody disregards parody despite claiming to abide by it. Obviously nobodoy has said anything...but then again no one ever freaking comments... Basically I want something I can truly call my own. Defective Kyubey does not sate that need. Technically "Defective Kyubey" is my creation, but he uses Kyubey as a base. Kyu is 100% original disregarding the aspect where he was clearly inspired by Kyubey. But fret not, the design I drew up is more than distinct enough and his backstory is definitely different too.

So how is this episode going to work? Well fortuantely for you guys I have this all planned out. We will split this up into sections: Personality, Critique, Design, and Anantomy/proportions. Each section will start out with the previous episode's points accompanied with my thoughts on them and then the new points. Originally I was going to have the old new stuff seperated, but I decided to keep them altogether and kept in their respective categories. So let's get into personality. But before we start: I am NOT here to critique your characters. With everything I am about to present, you should be able to do that yourself. Also pardon any spelling, grammar, punctuation, or vocabulary mistakes. I have proofread this, but I am not perfect. Let me know and I will fix them ASAP.

PERSONALITY

So let's get into the old stuff. If you wish to use episode 0.32 as a reference, the link is above and in the master post. Please correct me if I got anything wrong from the first episode, I am not perfect.

1. The first characters you design will be Mary-Sues or Gary-Stu's.
- Yes, I still agree with this point. Of course there are rare exceptions. Sometimes kids get it right right off the bat. But most of the time they won't. It's the nature of the beast in regards to growing up. And just in case you do not know what MS and GS are: MS and GS are characters that are perfect, have no flaws, and everybody loves them unconditionally. MS is the female variant and GS is the male variant. Typically these characters are self-insert or some form of wish fufilment. Ususally these characters are made out of ignorance or inexperience.

2. Mary-Sues and Gary-Stu's are made out of Inexperience and ignorance.
- Yes, I still agree with this too. I mentioned this above, but I will explain. To make something, you need to know how to make said thing. You cannot write a proper character if you do not know how to write a character. Would you try to make a cake if you didn't know how to? No, you'd have your friend show you how to do it and then try it yourself once you think you've got the hang of it and keep improving until you get it right. Same logic applies to wiriting characters.

3. The issues of a Mary-Sue and a Gary Stu is that they are perfect.
- Yup, no complaints here. Simply put: There is nothing to get invested in. There is nothing interesting about the character.

4. Characters should interest people. Interesting characters have some form of conflict to resolve and that is why people like them.
- The difference between a Mary-sue and a good character is that the good character has something interesting about them. This always comes in the form of a conflict they have to resolve. Humans function on positivity and get satisfaction from seeing conflict resolved. This is what I have observed and deduced after watching this batshit-insane generation of humanity act like a bunch frothing maniacs screaming, hollaring, and consuming everything in sight. Basically make your character interest people by giving it a conflict to resolve.

5. Make your character interesting.
- People will gravitate towards whatever interests them. It's basic human nature. Ergo make your character interest people.

6. Have a reason for your character to be in a situation they are in and have it relate to who they are.
- This is a crucial aspect of character design. Every person has a reason for doing something or being involved in something. Not giving your character a reason is straight up lazy writing. Again, everybody has a reason for doing something or being involved in something.

7. Make your character a regular person with apropiate character traits.
- Yup, still agree here. Not much say as this point is self-explanatory and we will explain more of it soon.

8. You can design a character around a situation or you can design a situation around a character.
- You can do either or here. Really it depends on what you are going for with your stories and characters. Do you like to have your characters first or do you like to have your story all set first? Both methods have their pros and cons.

9. Avoid fake flaws and fake conflict.
- This is one of the points I cannot stress enough. Your character picking their nose is not a character flaw. Your character forgetting something petty in the grand scheme of things is not a conflict. Technically these things are, but you get what I am saying: Don't be a lazy writer.

10. Put yourself in your character's shoes and know how your character would act.
- Boy/Girl/Person-who-identifies-as-a-homo-sapien/humanoid lifeform, you better freaking know your character. YOU FREAKING WROTE THEM. Don't come up to me and say "Well gee, I don't really know my character..." Again, YOU WROTE THEM. Plus you should be able to empathize in general. If you cannot do any of these things, you are in trouble. In case you couldn't tell, yes I still agree with this point.

11. There is a diference betweeen a well-off character and a mary-sue.
- A well-off character does not equal a Mary-sue. A girl with pink hair does not equal Mary-sue. A talented man does not equal a Gary-stu. This is something I hate and a point of contention for a lot of people. And then you got those dingbats who knee jerk when they see something with odd colored hair or weird habbits. If you are going to assume I am defending a particular series or specific character, abandon that notion right here and now. I am speaking in general terms. In case you are wondering, I have heard of the knee jerking happening and I have seen people knee jerk like that before. And yes, we will be getting to character critique soon.

And now time for the new stuff:

So one of the first things I want address is making your character's personality. Something I see a lot of on DA and elsewhere is people listing traits, likes, and dislikes. Why am I bringing this up? It seems relatively normal. Well here is the problem: People get lazy and just list stuff and have a mile long list of traits, likes, and dislikes. DO NOT DO THIS. This is being lazy with your character building. Think about it: Lisiting traits, likes, and dislikes takes next to to no effort at all. There is a difference between building your character and listing stuff. When you build your character, you are putting effort into making a character, setting a standard for how they act, and fleshing out their background. When you list, all you're doing is throwing a bunch of traits you want into a pile and hoping for the best. Can lists work? Yes assuming you have already built your character. Making lists should not be a substitute for making a character. It should be a TL;DR of something you have already created.

--IMPORTANT NOTICE (2019)-- Please note for this next section that I typed it under a different, biased mindset. My views have changed since then and I have addressed it in several addendums you will see as you read on. Please keep this all in mind as you read this next part.

Another thing I see people doing is having an equal number of good and bad traits...and then having a total of around 50 traits. That's great if you are writing an inhuman psychopath, but not if you are writing a normal character. As I said in the first episode: write a normal person with appropaite traits. Typically this is what I see when people write characters: Mostly "good" traits = Heroes journey. Mostly "bad" traits = Character study. Typically people who give out some of the worst advice I have seen in regards to this stuff are people from DeviantTube, the ranting community, and the Neo CC. For a frame of reference of what parts of these communities I am talking about, I am refering to people like SolarSands, DeviantCringe, xX IcyHazard Xx, Yankee Doodle Dandy Tones, SavDraws, and Pentagrin/VeryMetal. YUP, we are talking about that part of the internet... You've got Solar Sands saying you need flaws without explaining himself. Dude makes it sound like only flaws validate your character. You've got SavDraws saying you need an equal amount of good and bad traits. No, people can have a majority of good traits or a majority of bad traits. What truly matters is whether or not they are interesting.

Now before anyone says anything, Nothing personal towards anyone I mentioned. I find some of them legitimately annoying, but ultimately I do not care. I just needed a frame of reference for whom I was refering to and some of the advice I have heard is legitimately bad advice. As an aside, would you really trust someone called "DeviantCringe" or "Yankee Doodle Dandy Tones"? The last one sounds like one of those channels that uploads those shitty Elsa and Spiderman videos, But I digress. There will be a time to roast the Neo CC and parts of DeviantTube, but this is not the episode for that.

Future Chaotic from the year 2019 here! Quick sidenote: As time has gone on, I have gotten more used to Icy and Dooodle tones. I did have some disdain for them back when I typed this, but this has gone away over time. Hell, I even follow them now. So yeah, allow me to apologize for what past me said. But I am still not too keen on SolarSands, I still find deviantcringe annoying, and I still hate f***ing Pentagrin.

Well jeez William, you just did the equivalent of painting a massive target on yourself. What do you have to say for yourself?

What the fudge? William? Where are you going? Stop twirling that halberd like a helicopter blade! You are not in a Ymfah Dark Souls Video...! God blast it all, he's gone. (sigh) I guess I will speak on his behalf then. So obviously Human William still has some gripes with the ranting community and The Neo CC hasn't exactly gotten on his good side. Honestly I am quite surprised he scrapped his initial episode on the Neo CC and Alt CC. Anyways, despite his roasts, he means no harm to anyone. He apologizes in case anyone was offended. Ultimately he wants people to better themselves. It's just that his harsher criticial side comes out when he sees something that upsets or frustrtates him. Or at least that's how I think he feels and thinks. I'm a bit new to earth, so it's kind of hard to tell. Now normally to solve something, my species just invades and takes over. But apperently humans try to promote a mentality of live and let be. I mean if it works then fine. I say invade and take over, but I'm willing to try something new. THE FREAKING WORMHOLE OBVIOUSLY WANTED ME TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!

No, I just had vent a little bit. And I got stopped by an old wizard who asked me how I aquired my halberd and If I had seen a man called helicopter man...it was very weird.

So you ready to get back to this episode? Because I am not doing the part on critique. This planet is weird enough as is...

Don't worry, I got this one.

Addendum 1 (2018): God damn it why did I throw Doodle tones under the bus like that? They're going to see this and be like "Dude, wtf?" I only say that because I have been watching Ponder Sprocket's videos. Honeslty I think I am being a bit harsh towards Doodle. Again, I have to reiterate that I mean no ill will towards anyone I mentioned. I was just being overly ciritical _{Barring DeviantCringe and solar sands, but I digress.} KYU! GET THE FALLOUT SHELTER READY!

CRITIQUE

Oh boy oh boy...here is a doozy. Bit of short doozy surprisingly.

1. Do not subjectify things
- I absolutely still agree with this. DO NOT SUBJECTIFY OBJECTIVE TERMS WHEN GIVING CRITIQUE. DO NOT SUBJECTIFY YOUR AN ENTIRE CRITIQUE. You need to be Objective and Subjective which we will explain in the next point.

2. Stay Objective and Subjective.
- THIS is the basic principle or Critique and Review. You need to be objective in your analysis and subjective on how you feel personally. It does not matter how much you like that ballet dancer, they still messed up their dance. Human beings are different from each other and we are not a hivemind. We each have different opinions. This is when you need to be objective. I personally don't like Rap and country, but I will admit when I hear a song I think is good. If I adhered to my opinions, I would have to hate every rap and country song regardless of their quality. Same logic applies to Characters and stories. You may not like an aspect of something, but give credit where credit is due.

3. Pay attention to context
- If you are going to ignore context, you might as well not even bother with your review or critique.

So here are some things I want to add in. There is valid and Invalid criticism. This falls in line with acknowledging context. Before you criticize, think about what you are looking at and ask yourself if what you are about to say is still valid. I am not saying what you are about to say is invalid, I'm just saying double checking never hurts. It's better to be safe than sorry. In line with what I am saying, At the end of the day critique is there to help you, not harm you. The same thing applies to valid criticism. To shut these out is to openly say you are above everyone and no one likes that. In line with what I am saying, NEVER stop improving. Some people never improve. They will literally have a ten year old gallery with the same quality of art throughout with no sign of improvement whatsoever. I will never understand that. I would go insane if my art hadn't improved since 2011. Look at my art overtime, it has improved since 2011.

Wow that was shorter than I thought it would be...dang.

DESIGN

1. Know your character, who they are, and how they dress.
- Echoing a similar point from the personality section, you wrote the blasted character. You should know who they are.

2. A character needs to be readable, people need to be able to tell what's going on.
- So you know those Clusterf*** OCs that are overloaded with details and have 100 different colors? Yeah, you are going to want to avoid doing that. I and the audience should be able to tell what is going on with your character. If not, we are going to lose interest faster than you can say overly complex character. Humans have limited memeory and need to save it for the best stuff, not the worst.

3. Ask yourself this: I knew what I drew, but will other people know what I drew?
- This falls in line with what I just said in point #2. Taking a step back is very good thing to do in art and you should do it here too. Not only to see what you are drawing, but to see if it works for what you are going for.

4. Character unity is a good thing to have.
- Want a good example of character unity? Look at Gurren Lagann's main characters. The visiual design of Simon, Kamina, and Yoko each have something in common with each other. Character unity is not exactly required as people dress and behave differently, but it is very nice to have and you will get points for doing so. But remember this: keep it subtle, but not too subtle.

5. Bad design ranges from overly complex to hard to read and too much going on, a polluted color scheme, or both.
- You know what I am talking about. You've seen these kinds of characters before. But just in case you do not know what a polluted color scheme is, that is essentially a color scheme with too many unique colors in it that does not form a coherent pattern. On the contrary, garish usage of color can also constitute bad character design. We'll talk more about color schemes in a later point and further on down the line.

6. If a character takes 2 hours to draw every single time you draw it, go back to the drawing board.
- The only time it should take that long to draw a character should be when you are first drawing it or when you are doing a highly detailed drawing. Once you master your character, you should be able to draw it quickly. You know what to draw. Taking this long everytime says to me that you put in too much detail.

7. People have limited memory, TL;DR your character.
- This falls in line with the previous point, but really this only applies to complex characters. Simplistic Characters don't really need this. I kind of wish I made this a little clearer in the first episode.

8. Any color scheme can work or fail. Also nature does not care in the slightest.
- This point is self-explanatory and I still agree with it. Any color scheme can work and I have seen it in action. Contrasting colors compliment each other (just look at teal and orange movie posters) while complimentary colors are easy on the eyes and monchromatic color schemes are easy to follow. But Teal and Orange can easily fail if they are too garish. Usually bad color schemes are garish and obnoxious regardless of whatever color they use.

9. Compatible color schemes are typically easier to do while contrasting color schemes are little more tricky to pull off.
- Speaks for itself given the last point we just discussed. And yes I still agree with it.

10. Avoid Polluted color schemes at all costs.
- Refer to points 5, 7, and 8. You can also refer to basic color theory on these. And of course I still agree with this point too.

Alright, we are finally moving on to the new stuff! Sticking with color schemes, let's transition into edge. Trust me, color schemes will come back into this. I am going to be honest with you guys: I have a soft spot for EDGE. I like a little edge here and there. And there is nothing inherently wrong with edgy characters despite what the internet would you have believe. The problem is too much edge. No one likes too much of anything really and Edge is no exception. So keep this in mind: Edge is not a valid critcism. The criticism we are looking for is too much edge. Also any color scheme can be made edgy. Any design you can imagine can be OW THE EDGE. It's not exclusive to red and black. Blue and black can be edgy. WHITE AND GOLD CAN BE EDGY WITH ENOUGH EFFORT. Hell, a normal character can be edgy throught their actions.

Good lord, This turing into Trope Talk from Overly Sarcastic Productions. Love that channel by the way. Someone tell Red to do an episode on the edge trope if she hasn't already by the time of me typing this.

So here is a couple more points that don't really go together on my notes page.

- Be mindful of your character design. You wouldn't want to create something offensive that society has been rejecting for years unless your character is a part of a historical piece or is highly satirical for whatever reason (even then you are kind of pushing things a bit).
- Don't be afraid to scrap your character and start over. God knows I have done that dozens of times.
- Contrasting color schemes can help bring attention to your character if done right.
- DO NOT STACK COLORS ON YOUR CHARACTER. And if you are going to do so, blend them or give your character a VERY GOOD REASON for being like that. Color stacking is garish, chaotic, and awful to look at.

PROPOTIONS/ANATOMY

So I forgot to write up any new points for this section. I'll just do what I have been doing with the other old points and add onto them if need be.

1. Sex appeal and fan service is under extra scrutiny.
- Rule of thumb: people will notice bad anatomy if you are going for fan service or sex appeal. And I see this a lot in series that go for pleasure over style or substance. Just keep this stuff in mind when you are going for fan service. It's a situation where people will notice this stuff if you are constantly rubbing it in their faces.

2. Breasts are not the size of pillows...
- Anime is notorious for unrealistic bust sizes and proportions. I should know, I watch anime on a regular basis and browse the internet often. The only time a character's bust should be that big is if they are wearing a suit with inflatable breasts. And do not even get me started on unrealistic bust shapes. Breasts do not look like sausage tubes or giant water balloons. Breasts are also not pointed. As someone who takes anatomy in art seriously, all of these irritate the crap out of me. To be fair, western animation is also guilty of these issues. It's not exclusive to anime believe it or not. Also saying "It's just my style bro" only goes so far.

3. "it's just my style bro" is not an excuse.
- To clarify, this only applies to blatant anatomy screw ups. Making an obvious mistake and claiming it's your "style" is not going to fool anyone.

4. Take a step back if need be.
- Do I even need to explain this by now?

5. References are good and bases are good practice.
- This is just common knowledge really. Would you believe there are a people who get angry at you for using references? Complete and utter morons.

6. Do not uses bases as a replacements for your art.
- Bases are good when used as a learning material. Bases are bad when they replace your artwork. Ignore anyone who says this is wrong, they either do not know what they are talking about or are super arrogant and demand you do things their way.

And before we move on: SKIN IS NOT SHINY. RED SKIN IMPLIES A SUNBURN OR A VERY TENDER SPOT. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is notorious for shiny skin and the internet in general is notoroius for characters with red skin patches. THAT IS NOT HOW SKIN WORKS! SKIN IS MATTE AND OPAQUE! NOT SHINY AND TRANSLUCENT! WE ARE NOT WATER BALLOONS! HUMANS ARE MADE OF BONE, TISSUE, MUSCLE, SKIN, FAT, AND VARIOUS OTHER ORGANIC MATERIALS. Sorry for the caps, I am just getting sick and tired of shiny skin.

William! You locked me out!

You don't... those are Tarot cards. The Hermetic Tarot to be precise. You tell fortunes with those. Apperently there is a game associated with tarrot cards, but I don't know it.

Do they work? Seems a little sketchy to be letting random cards tell your "fortune."

Well 2 things: Tarot cards are not gospel. Really they are more along the lines of what is most likely to happen than what is actually going to happen. Secondly: the universe is weird Kyu. It relies on coincidence to get things done for pretty much anything you can think of.

And how can I trust you? Pardon my asking.

Simple, I am a fallen angel who retains his duties...(snickers) somewhat.

What the freak even are you? What am I even looking at? Are you even real?

To answer your first question: I am blob of Nightmares, Chaos, and Entropy. To answer your second question: Debatably considering I am living distortion of reality. Don't ask how that works out.

Good lord, all you'd have to do to stop an invasion is just show them your true form...

Seriously? Do they not have creatures like Fallen angels and demons?

Well yeah, my civilization believes in demons, but to see something like you in the flesh and blood would melt their minds on that spot. I am suprised my brain is staying intact...

Well just don't overthink it and you should be fine.

Chaotic Talks 0.44: Yu-Gi-Oh! stuff (1)

(places a card face down) So Kyubey, what do you want to talk about. You're not as gungho to duel me in this duel. I end my turn.

I got some questions on my mind that I want you to answer. What better source than a fallen angel? I use Galaxy-Eyes Clouddragon to special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. I'll end my turn for now.

Well ask away. We got all day. I am going to use my Xiangke Magician and Timegazer Magician to pendulum summon 2 Odd-Eyes Dragons, Odd-eyes Pendulum dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and Dragonpulse magician. Next I will build the overlay network with my two Odd-Eyes dragons to summon Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon. Next I will use Xiangke Magician's effect to treat Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon as Level 7 Monster. Then I use My Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon to summon Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon. Next I will use Raging Dragon's effect to destroy all cards on your side of the field and gain 200 attack for each. Then I will fuse Odd-Eyes Pendulum with Dragonpulse Magician to summon Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. And with that I swing for game with my two Dragons attacking you twice.

Dang it! I knew I should have made you use Link Monsters! Let's go again! Anyways, I wanted to ask you about humans and their existence. First question: What's a soul? And why does it matter to humans?

To be fair, I'll go first this time. And to answer that question simply: A data storage battery essentially. I'll place Timegazer Magician and Stargazer Magician in my Pendulum zones and pendulum summon Dragonpulse Magician and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. I'll set one card and end my turn.

A data storage battery? What are humans organic machines now? I use Photon sanctuary to summon to two photon tokens. Next I will use these tokens to special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Next I will summon and tribute Galaxy-Eyes Cloudragon to special summon another Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. I will overlay these two to bring out Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. Next I will Detach one material to make use of his second attack by negating the effect of your pendulum dragon which is kind of pointless, but second attack! And now I destroy both of your cards! HAHAHAHA! TRY AND OTK ME NOW!

Alright then, I draw. And yeah, humans are biological machines when you really think about. I pendulum summon my Odd-Eyes and my Red-Eyes and use them to build the Overlay network to summon Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon.

Interesting. But why did Madoka Kaname stop the main Kyubey if she was collecting data? Wouldn't an infinite universe help that cause? Also why in blue blazes would you summon Raging Dragon like that? There is no way you can activate it's effects and my Dragon has equal attack and...YOU JUST STALEMATED ME!

I imagine Madoka realized that prolonging the life of the universe was pointless ontop of wanting to stop seeing magical girls suffer. She could have easily done that without stopping the main Kyubey. And yes, I stalemated. I drew into red-eyes with no way to protect myself outside of raging dragon...

An interesting prospect indeed. Definitely something to ponder on. (claps) Well I guess this next card will have to break the stalemate!

Welcome to Chaotic Talks! This is a series where I talk about whatever is on my mind. The subject can be literally anything. For those that are wondering why I refer to this as an episode, it is because this will eventually be a series on my YouTube Channel (assuming everything doesn't go to Hell in a handbasket). Any episode that goes by 0.[insert random number here] is a part of season 0, a test season of sorts.

So, a Yu-Gi-Oh episode instead of what I had initially planned...Putting things off again I see. Yeah, okay...I am putting the episodes I had planned off again. I actually had the episode on the Neo CC and the Alt CC started until I decided to scrap it. Then I had another mish-mash episode planned and scrapped it. HOW LONG AGO DID I SAY I WAS GOING TO DO WARHAMMER 40,000 (2) AGAIN? SIX MONTHS AGO? I am bad with organization and planning. So why am I doing a Yu-Gi-Oh episode now? Well I have been ordering cards recently and I recently realized how bad two cards I own are. And I also want to talk about my baby boy Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon. But hey, I've also been watching Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V...

You know? The card game has been going in interesting directions as of late. I love how in master rule 4 you have to use Link Monsters to bring out extra deck monsters. What are Link Monsters? Remember how Pendulums and Xyz were used to flood the field with powerful monsters and OTK out the ass? Well now you have grab some links and make some link zones because you are not placing those extra deck cards anywhere else on the field! Link Monsters only exist to rebalance the game, not actually provide any new playstyles for the sake of providing new playstyles. I do not own any Link Monsters yet. I was kind of hoping someone would comment on the previous episode, but being a nobody can do that to you...Time to go check reddit I guess. Anyways, I find link monsters hilarious in regards to them being a massive nerf to multiple strategies in the game.

Speaking of Master Rule 4, Pendulums got moved. Now Pendulum zones take up two spots in the spell/trap zone. Again, more nerfing on Konami's part. IT'S NERF OR NOTHING. Although is does make thematic sense when you think about it. Pendulums are half-monster half-spell after all. It doesn't matter whether or not you agree with these changes. Nerfs are nerfs. But hey! Crystal beasts can barely support their pendulums now! Thank god that archetype doesn't have a lot of extra deck monsters. But hey, Konami got their heads out of their asses...not really. The Ace Monster for the VRAINS protag and the mascot for Link Monsters is already on his way to getting banned from tournament play...YES, YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT. Nice going Konami, really nice going. To Quote RANK10YGO: "Then they put their heads back in their asses!" Where is this card game even going? First they introduce all these overpowered monster card types, then the archetypes start getting more juvenile (Looking squawy at fur hires OwO), and then the Link mascot gets banned right out the gate. Well the card game has made it to 20+...so yeah.

So I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V on Netflix. Let's get this out of the way: I am now aware only the first 100 episodes were dubbed. I am not even going to bother finishing what is on Netflix... Or maybe I will since i'm consistently bored. I will never and I mean NEVER complain about an anime being too short ever again. ARC-V is a freaking slog to get through. I actually started skipping entire episodes. The characters kept making the same plays over and over again, there is a lot of boring nobody archetypes I cannot even remember, and there is so much filler it's not funny. Nowhere near as bad as Naruto or Bleach, but still pretty bad regardless. Yuya...DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN SUMMON PERFORMAPAL HIP HIPPO!!! God damn it all, All he does is summon the same couple of monsters over and over again. It's not until Yuto properly shows up that he actually starts doing other things with his deck!

Despite the character constantly using third person, I actually really like Gong and his Superheavy Sammurai deck. I am definitely interested in making a Superheavy Sammurai deck...GOD KNOWS I GOT ENOUGH OF THEM FROM MY BOOSTER BOX AND 10-PACK BOX SETS! Seriously, I have a majority of the cards at 3-7 each. How many did Konami put into Duealist Alliance?! Or maybe I got very unlucky... Still, I like how Superheavy Sammurai can attack in defense position. POWER OF THE SAMMURAI! THERE WILL BE NO FOOLISH SAMMURAI HERE. I might also look into D/D monsters because they tickle my fancy for eldritch horrors and traveling to alternate, eldrtich dimensions. You have eldritch warriors and rulers coming out of different dimensions and then you have two ancient-looking satelites summoning forth these giant eldritch crystal monoliths that also happen to be rulers. What next? An eldritch horror that lies outside of reality that stopped by for a visit because someone signed a contract and got two satelites at the edge of existence working? Where do I sign up?

Can I have Zexal back? I was enjoying Zexal...

How the hell did you manage to come back from that? My Ultimate Tachyon Dragon had you. He had you!

Never doubt the power of an Odd-Eyes. And you are not the only one who can summon enormous f***-you dragons.

So I want to talk about some cards I own. What do I want to talk about exactly?

- Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon
- Number C39: Utopia Ray
- Number S39: Utopia Prime
- Number F0: Utopic Future

-- Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon --

ALRIGHT! WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO COMBINE XYZ AND PENDULUMS? OERaD is not an easy monster to get rid of. Is he competitively viable? I would like to think he is, but I am not too well versed on the meta. So probably a no, but I could be wrong. You try to destroy him...he goes back to the extra deck. Oh hey, there is an empty pendulum zone and he has a scale of 1. TO THE PENDULUM ZONE. And hey, he can be pendulum summoned! Hey, let's take the immortality of pendulums and mix it with the easy-to-summon nature of Xyz monsters. The only way you can actually get rid of this card is if you banish it to the shadow realm...assuming the duelist playing him doesn't have recovery options. Seriously, Xyz Pendulums have the potential to be the strongest monsters in the game. Someone get Red-Eyes an Xyz Pendulum!

Can I take a moment to say how cool this card looks? Normal Pendulums are a bit garish to me, but this is perfect. The black and green go nicely with each other. And the card looks so freaking unique. You've got the Xyz aesthetic mashing with the normal card aestehtic and it looks so nice. I absolutely love it! And Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon looks so freaking cool. I love how spiky and streamlined he is. It just screams "I am going to f*** your shit up." Also the wings are fantastic. I love how they are broken and spilling out energy. Also this dragon is red. Red is perfect for this card and it's theme. Also I love how it is a berserker. He can nuke the opponent's field and attack twice. Do you see why I called this dragon my baby boy? Is it a little hard to summon? Yes, but I don't care.

So what is OERaD? Well he is an evolved form of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and a berserk state dragon at that. From what I understand, Yuya gets pissed and summons this guy out of pure rage...and the card apperently only gets used twice... DO I HAVE TO COME OVER THERE AND MAKE YUYA PLAY THIS CARD MORE OFTEN?!?! FUNNEL YOUR RAGE INTO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE LIKE SMASHING ANCIENT GEAR GOLEMS!!! BRING BACK THE BOMB! THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO!

-- Number C39: Utopia Ray --

You know what? I still have what I typed in the first version of this journal. I am going to use that:

Utopia Ray is a Chaos evolution of Utopia...sort of. It shares the same rank as Utopia and does not use rank up spell cards. So Utopia Ray allows you to detach one of it's Xyz materials to raise it's attack by 500 and lower the opponent monster's atk by 1000. What's the problem with that? Well the problem is the cards card economy and restrictions. The card economy is very questionable on this card. You need 3 monsters for Xyz materials. Going -3 isn't bad for a good Xyz monster. Neither is it inherently bad for an average Xyz monster. We will get to that soon enough. But if you are using the Utopia method of summoning, you are going -5 to get a nearly identical monster with restrictions out on the field. And if you use 3 Utopia's (of to which the card doesn't say you cannot do that. It just says that "you can" use Utopia as a material) like a cheeky smart ass, you just went -9.

Utopia Ray has restrictions. Firstly: all materials need to be light attribute. ~~Assuming you don't want to go -5 and go -3,~~ you ~~still~~ have to use specific monsters. AND ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS: You need be under 1000 lifepoints to activate and resolve the detach effect. So unless you are losing the duel, You essentially have a vinilla Utopia with identical stats. You might as well just stick with extra copies of Utopia at that point assuming you did not go into Utopia The Lightning. I get that Utopia Ray is the underdog monster, but that makes him worthless in both competitive and casual play. If you can pull this card off and have fun with it, good for you. For me, this card is wasted potential. And yes, I am aware he can get support from the utopia archetype. But that means he needs outside help to be good. A good card does not need help to be good. A good card stands on it's own and does not have assanine restrictions. Plus the atk effect is an average effect. It's not overpowered nor is it underpowered. It is simply average. It does not need this much of a nerf. Was Yuma under 1000 LP when he used Utopia Ray or something?

How do you fix Utopia Ray? Simple: remove the LP restriction. If you are under 1000 LP and Utopia Ray is your only option, you've lost the duel. And if you are winning, he is just a waste of space because he cannot use his effect unless you are losing. He's pretty much just a vinilla beater at that point. Yes, there are Utopia support cards and Xyz support cards. But Utopia Ray should NOT have to rely on them to be more than just a 2500 beater. Utopia Ray does not need to be nerfed. He doesn't even have any form of protection. For an underdog monster, he doesn't do much.

And it's especially not going to help you if my Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon is gunning for you... Also Ignore the striked out parts. I am very dumb and do not fully understand how Utopic overlays work.

--Number S39: Utopia Prime --

Second verse same as the first! Now put me on a plane so I can put them in a herse!

Oh boy...So if you are 3000 LP behind your opponent, you can detach 3 MATERIALS to reduce your LP to 10 and blow up all of your opponent's SPECIAL SUMMONED monsters, banish them, and burn for 300 x the number of monsters banished. Prime also has the same summoning restrictions, conditions, and options as Utopia Ray. He also has the same stats as Utopia...

But Chaotic! he has 2510 attack...

WHAT AN UPGRADE! No one cares.

Where do I even begin with this card? First off: 10 LP...what the f*** am I even looking at!?! Sure, you use the effect, but then your opponent gets rid of your Prime and can now run over you with something like Petit Dragon. OH BOY! Why the strange LP cost? Why? Keep in mind that this effect only blows up SPECIAL SUMMONED monsters. So let's say you get lucky and nab 5 monsters and burn for 1500 LP...That is only HALF of the lifepoint requirement for the card's effect to activate. You might be able to swing for game if your opponent doesn't have a trap waiting for you. AND THIS IS ASSUMING YOU HAVE MET THE IDEAL CONDITIONS.

I did not finish this part. This is where I lost my motivation. So Prime's problem is that the detach effect takes too much away from you. It relies on your opponent having a full field of special summoned monsters which is not reliable at all and it also expects you to win the duel right then and there...with you being behind 5990 lifepoints at this point... Why would you ever use Utopia Prime? This card is a massive gamble. Maybe you could use it with infernal tempest, but at that point you might as well just activate infernal tempest and not make yourself open to Petit Dragon. This is like comparing the wimpy Sparks to the almighty Hinotama. And if you want to play devil's advocate, ask yourself this: would you really play Utopia Prime? Or are you just going to use Utopia the Lightning?

So how would I fix Utopia Prime? This is how:

- Bring the LP reduction to 1000 LP (so you cannot get run over by Petit Dragon)
- Remove the Lifepoint requirement (it's too specific and situational)
- Give him a 1000 attack boost instead of burning the opponent (Still not as good as Utopia The Lightning, but at least it is something)
- Make it so he can remove all monsters on your opponent's side of the field (do I even need to explain this one?)

The card is Number S39: Utopia PRIME, this screams "almighty boss monster" to me. I should be nuking fields, playing Balls to the Wall by Accept, and swinging for game. I should not be having to fear f***ing Sparks or the almighty Hinotama. Yes, you can use this as a stepping stone for Utopia The Lightning... But why though? Just use Utopia... Yeah, I get it: Utopia Prime is a gimmick monster, bu he doesn't have to be complete ass. Just look at:

-- Number F0: Utopic Future --

This card puts gimmick monsters to shame. He cannot be destroyed, he is immune to battle damage, he steals a monster during the damage step, and he can detach a material to prevent himself from getting destroyed by a card effect. BLESSED AND POSSESED! HALLELUJAH! Is he tricky to get out? yes, yes he is. But at least he is worth it. Plus he can be a good wall assuming your opponent isn't nuking your field with a card effect or stealing him. Seriously, I love this card. I love stealing monsters, the effect is great, and I love the monster's visual design. What is Prime's excuse for sucking so badly? He's a gimmick monster? What's his excuse for sucking so badly? You want a good gimmick monster? Go with Utopic Future.

BEAT THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP! GET REKT FAIRY TAIL!

It finally occured to me why it was so easy to get Utopia Ray and Utopia Prime. These cards are liquid ass when you really look at them. Utopia ray: You have to be losing to make full use of him. Utopia Prime: GET READY FOR THE ALMIGHTY HINOTAMA. Sure, you can combo these two, BUT WHY? Why would you go into a sitatuion where you can get ran over by SPARKS OF ALL CARDS!? You are more than welcome to try and answer that question. I dare you. I wish these cards were better. I wish this especially with Utopia Ray because he looks really cool. What is with the restriction? It is not overpowered in the slightest...Oh my goodness he is even worse in the anime... In the anime, HE GETS BLOWN UP IF YOU HAVE 1000 OR MORE LIFEPOINTS! WHY!?!? Why is this card nerfed so hard!?! IT IS NOT AN OVERPOWERED EFFECT!!! FOR F***S SAKE, THE WIKI TELLS YOU TO USE STRATS TO REDUCE YOUR LIFEPOINTS JUST TO USE THE FREAKING CARD!!!

Let's just move on before I get even angrier. Oh the injustice... Screw it, let's just wrap this episode up...

DO I NEED TO BUST OUT MY STARVING VENOM FUSION DRAGON ON YOU BOY!?

So how did you get your hands on that Utopic Future card? I don't think I've ever seen a card like that...

I am not too sure. Uru was rooting around in his miny form and found the card laying on the ground. I intially took it into my deck for card theft, but it seems...weird.

How weird? like alternate universe weird?

Yeah, that weird. There is a similar card in this universe, Number 0: Future. But this doesn't quite match up with those cards.

Well it could be a visitor from another universe. Incubators have experimented with universe hopping and you have connections to your MVP officer counterpart, so it's not impossible.

Well I know that...minus the incubator part. Thanks for the info, I digress. This siutation is still weird. He has talked to me, but hasn't revealed much yet.

Well maybe you could try asking Relinquished. He seems to know a alot.

I don't know. His cost for info is that he is allowed to absorb me for a set time. He's a good friend, but sometimes I have to question his methods.

Okay, what about Uru then?

Chaotic Talks 0.43: Mish Mash 3

Welcome to Chaotic Talks. This is a series where I talk about whatever is on my mind. The subject can be literally anything. For those that are wondering why I refer to these as episodes, it is because this will eventually be a series on my YouTube channel. Any episode that goes by 0.[insert random number here] is a part of season 0, a test season of sorts.

Yup, no Kyubey or Af this time. Having someone tell you shouldn't use a word because it is "overused" along with using ad hominems and getting offended over nothing really fries your brain and kills braincells. And yes, I did block this random person. I was going to respond, but then I decided not to and then got paranoid my account would get suspened for some unknown reason but then realized DA doesn't want you reporting people for mere verbal disputes that can easily be resolved by stopping and/or blocking. It has been a slightly busy day for me. And now I just want to get some thoughts out and de-stress.

ANYWAYS, I have some subjects I want to discuss. What shall we be discussing today?

My current setup

So what has been going on with my setup? Why do I have no motivation to work on Chaotic Talks? Why am I still on my PS4? Why is there 9 million and 1 typos I keep missing? My laptop has been off for a while now. We are looking at about a year and a half. And before anyone says anything: It stays in one spot, I have not jostled it around, I keep it charged, and my room temperature stays reasonable regardless of what time of year it is. Plus back when I did use it, I didin't run it all the time. I am not worried about it quitting in the slightest. I have treated it pretty well over the years. I have only crashed it once (and even then it wasn't serious) and I have never had to reformat it. I also periodicially clear out my cookies. And on top of all of this, I keep it updated. It may be getting older, but it is a pretty healthy laptop.

So why has it been off for so long? Me. Back in 2016, I was depressed as all hell and paranoid. I had a lot going on then. When a standard issue or eror would pop up, I'd go nuts and then promptly get my head back together. But that caused me to associate my laptop with negative experiences, so I started to avoid it. And then I put the kibosh on Creative cloud and that killed my motivation to turn on my laptop. And then another issue kicked in: bad internet. Frontier is a garbage company that gives you dollar store routers that barely work. On top of that, we have an antiquated phone line nearby that frontier fixes with TAPE. They won't replace it, they'll just tape it up. And on top of all that, they are going through financial trouble right now. I don't think there will be a period where there is no internet for several months, it just that getting them to fix anything will be very difficult. Keep in mind I still live with my parents because of how modern society works and I haven't quite figured out what I am doing with my life. So natually I have to wait on them because I don't make money at the moment.

So recently it was decided that the household will be getting a new, non frontier router. Why haven't they done it sooner? Blame my freaking earth father. He is stubborn and I don't care if he sees this. His logic was that we need to stick with frontier's garbage routers because we would lose their support if we went to a non frontier router. OKAY, LET'S STICK WITH THE COMPANY THAT KEEPS GIVING US DOLLAR STORE ROUTERS THAT QUIT WITHIN A FEW MONTHS FORCING US TO CALL UP FRONTIER AND GET ANOTHER DOLLAR STORE ROUTER. Naturally the internet has gotten so bad that even he has changed his mind. But I may have to remind both of my parents to stay on track as life is an asswhole and likes to distract everyone. And it doesn't help that my earth father had a family member die somewhat recently and has not gone to properly see a grief counciler yet to my knowledge. FUN TIMES FOR EVERYONE.

If you are still in public school, set your self up so you can get out on your own as soon as possible. You do not want to rely on someone else unless they filthy stnking rich of to which me and my family are not.

So how does comeback to my laptop? Well I want to be able to update my laptop without the internet crashing at complete random. Worst case scenario I have around 500 updates to download. Best case scenario: 50-100. I want to be able to download them with ease. And trust me, automatic updates will be diasabled until I am done with the updating and the stuff. Another thing I am sort of waiting for is my next door "neighbor" to die or move away. NOW BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING: Do not pitty this person. They are a borderline pyschotic drug addict with a criminal record who has been harassing my family for years and has been harassing other people. Basically public enemy number one if the local cops would get their heads out of their asses and actually do their jobs, but I digress. This lowlife has messed with our internet and may have tried to illegaly acess my laptop and my family's computers. I put the kibosh on that potential issue by disabling remote access to my laptop. I don't even know why that is a thing. Technically I do need this person to be gone (be it dead or moved away). We have beefed up our security, but it would be nice.

And here is the cherry on top of the sundae for this neighbor from hell (figuratively speaking given where I come from of course) situation: This person can barely hold on to the land they "own." Both of their parents died recently and that person is unemployed. Also their "land" is just a series of violations begging to be reigned in by the authorities. FUN TIMES FOR EVERYONE.

Things are usually pretty quiet despite the chaos that surronds me ironically. But that is the basics of my situation. Why am I revealing this now? Keeping you guys to up to date, corel painter is decent, and the new router thingy.

Butch Hartman (in brief)

Oh boy this shitshow of a situation. Many people have already covered the controversy around Butch, so I will keep it brief. Butch started up a kickstarter project for his own streaming network. The issue sets in when you find out that he did not initially tell his backers that his streaming service would instill "Christian values" into children. Yeah, you might want to mention that next time. Butch has also shown that he is incredibly arrogant and egotistical. You CANNOT criticise him unless you also work in the animation industry...Butch, that is not how critique and constructive critcism works. Need I say more? In the original version of this episode, I went on a longer rant. But I don't actually need to when you really get down to it.

But yeah, in the end I have no respect for Butch Hartman. And it's shame because I enjoyed Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents as a kid. And no Butch, you did not make my childhood. My childhood was inkblot-rubberhose cartoons, Cartoon Network, and Anime.

Death Stranding (in brief)

OH MY GOD I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS SO BADDLY. Trust me, I will get to it sooner than later. Death Stranding is shaping up to be an interesting game. I won't say good just yet, but definitely interesting. But I can tell you this: It will fry some casual noodles. Those who think outside the box or the analytical types will be fine though. Death Stranding will be one of those games where you need to think about it, mull it over, and play the game multiple times. Or it could be very simple, but I doubt that. I will defintiely be getting the game when I can. A game about eldritch entities and the mystery surronding them? Boy, I am there faster than you can say demonetized. I cannot wait to play it.

Warframe: The Sacrifice/Tennocon 2018

Yes, I did indeed play The Sacrifice quest in Warframe. Here's what didn't happen and major spoilers inbound:

- We did not get the lotus back
- We did not get Umbra operator powers
- We did not get the ororkin machete
- The open pod in the helminth room was not used
- The Man in the wall barely appeared
- The morality system still does nothing
- We did not fight Ballas nor did he die

Now here is what did happen:

- A New Sentient enemy made it's debut

So all in all this was a 50/50 quest that DE overhyped. I didn't get what I was expecting, but we got some interesting stuff regardless. We be Umbra boi's now ladies and gentlemen. The only issue though is that there are no other Umbra frames at the moment with no signs of any coming anytime soon. But hey, let's talk about Excalibur Umbra. He is awesome. His biggest draws are his anti-sentient aspects and he can retain sentience while you are in operator mode. Not too sure how that is exactly necessary outside of lore, but it is still welcome. As for anti-sentient capabilities: Excal Umbra has radial howl in place of radial blind. This will completely reset any built up immunities for sentients in addition to the old effect. It's a fun ability, but it throws me for a loop. It looks like an ability that would affect everyone in a room because it is a literal howl...but no, it's a line of sight ability. I have no idea why DE did this. But Excal Umbra is awesome regardless as I said earlier.

So Tennocon2018 came and went. What did it reveal? Well we got Fortuna, Railjack, and The New War. Fortuna is the venus free roam map. We will be helping corpus debt slaves (Solaris United) to drive the corpus out of Fortuna and help free Solaris United from them. Fortuna will have it's own bounty system and kit guns. Zaw secondaries people. Not quite zaw primaries, but I will take it. One day I will have my gatling gun... We're also going to be getting MOA companions that we can customize. I just hope we can install a shockwave attack. It's time to repay the corpus in full for all the times I have been knockdowned by them. Also...HOVERBOARDS! WE ARE GETTING HOVERBOARDS! Your move Destiny 2. Fortuna looks like it will be fun to explore. And it is shaping to be unique from the plains of eidolon on earth and hopefully more polished.

Railjack is a mode where you can do spacebattles with enemy ships and board them to destroy them...YOUR MOVE DESTINY 2. The jist of this seems to be hop on a new type of ship, head to space, find a corpus ship, fight off the corpus, get rid of any that try to board your ship, and blow the corpus ship to kingdom come. This mode sounds like it is going to be really fun. And hey, DE could bring back raids with this new mode. Think about it: Have 2 squads of 4 go in, do some planet side missions, head to space, get on the ship and fight a miniboss, destory the ship and report in. Come on DE, you know people would be up for this. Moving on: The New War. This is the next cinematic quest that DE revealed that they may have revealed too early again... So it seems like we will be dealing with an incoming army of sentients lead by the lotus. Will we get Sentient tilesets? Maybe, maybe not. We will get more umbras? I sure hope so. DE said they were going to introduce Umbra as a unique line of Warframes.

I hope we get some more Umbra in the meantime. DE please, don't leave us hanging.

Fire Formation Lunalights

So what is this all about? Well RANK10YGO made an Archetype Archive video on Lunalights. I was sitting there like "Damn, they have some nice artwork. I wonder if they are cheap price-wise..." so I went on amazon and looked them up...they are dirt cheap right now. At that point I was like "oh boy oh boy, time to get to ordering." My budget was 20 dollars, but I couldn't go crazy because of different sellers and varrying offers. Here is what I got so far and will be arriving soon as of me typing this: black sheep x1, white rabbit, purple butterfly, tiger x3, blue cat x1, crimson fox, wolf x2, cat dancer, panther dancer, and leo dancer. Yes, I know I should have some more Lunalights, but budget limitations.

So what I am going to do to compensate? Fire Formation cards and recovery. I couldn't exactly get the perfume card, so I figured I would compensate with fire formation cards primarily Tenki and Tensu. Ideally this is what the deck will look like:

Elephant in the room time: why the random, out of place beast warriors? Barbaros has decent effects, can be used for advance draw, can clear the opponents field, and is pretty beefy. Gene-warped is beefy for a level 4, rhinotaurus is also pretty beefy and has a decent effect, and Leotaur can get a boost and sting. Plus all of these can be discard fodder. Why Number 39: Utopia? The deck has a lot of level 4 monsters and he serves as a solid plan B or can help if I need to negate something. But yeah, solid plan B at the end of the day.

One of the things that occured to me as I was building the main bulk was not to not load up on duplicates...yes, I am aware of what I put into the deck. But I was mostly thinking about the monster line up. I should not be preparing for a long haul, I should be prepping to crush my opponent into the dust as soon as possible. Should I have more fusions? Probably, but budget issues. Plus I do have recovery in the deck.

I really like fusion substitute as it is a bootleg polymerization, can recover fusions from the graveyard, and lets you draw a card. I had utility in mind when I was choosing spells with the boost from the fire formations being a nice bonus. Advance draw is pretty much a plan B just in case I need some cards and cannot make use of barbaros. Monster Reincarnation should be pretty obvious. The Big Cattle Drive is more utility in case I need cards. And because of it's effect, I figure I will wait until main phase 2 ideally. Pendulum shift is weird, but here me out: the idea is emergency summoning and/or recovery. If need be, I can set a pendulum zone to scale 10 and bring out whatever I need. Or who knows, maybe I could screw over my opponent. It is a quickplay after all. And spiritual forest is basic protection that synergizes with the deck.

What do I plan for link monsters? I don't know, but I do want (and need) to add some in. The side deck will be cards I wanted to add in but couldn't to keep the deck size reasonable.

So I have some questions for the experts out there:

What do you think of this deck?
What could I do to improve it?
How fast would you say this deck potnetially is?
What should I use for link monsters?
Is the deck better for casual play or competitive play?

I will preface this in that I know Lunalights are an OTK type deck. I am aware of the implications of this kind of strategy.
